What changes for a Australian business

  • AHPRA advertising guidelines

Regulated health services cannot use testimonials about clinical care on their websites. We build clinic and dental sites without them, and use practitioner profiles, process pages and service explanations to do the work testimonials would otherwise do.

  • Privacy Act and the APPs

Most health businesses are covered regardless of size. A privacy policy that says what you collect and why, forms that collect only what is needed, and analytics configured with IP anonymisation.

  • .com.au eligibility

A .com.au needs an ABN or ACN. The registration is in your name, and we walk you through it on a call.

  • Accessibility

The Disability Discrimination Act is read through WCAG 2.x AA. We build to 2.2 AA everywhere.

Questions

What Australian businesses ask first

Can a health clinic use patient testimonials on its website?

In Australia, no. AHPRA's advertising guidelines prohibit testimonials about clinical care for regulated health services, and the fines are real. We build clinic sites without them, and use before-and-after service descriptions, practitioner profiles and process pages to do the work testimonials would otherwise do. Salons, studios and trades are not affected.

Which booking tools do Australian businesses use?

Clinics: Cliniko (Australian), Nookal, Power Diary, HotDoc and HealthEngine for GP and dental. Salons: Timely, Fresha, Kitomba and Phorest. Trades: ServiceM8 and Tradify, both Australian. Studios: Mindbody, Glofox and Momence. We embed whichever you use or recommend one.

What does the Privacy Act mean for our forms?

If your business is covered by the Australian Privacy Principles, and most health businesses are regardless of size, the site needs a privacy policy that says what you collect and why, and the forms have to collect only what is needed. We write the policy with you and keep the forms minimal.

Can you register a .com.au for us?

A .com.au needs an ABN or ACN, so the registration is in your name and we walk you through it, or do it with you on a call. It stays in your account, not ours, like everything else you own.
