Netherlands

Websites for Dutch clinics, salons and trades

Our longest-running client is a clinic network in the Netherlands. Three hours ahead of you, so we overlap for almost the whole working day. Built to Dutch expectations: iDEAL, the AVG, and a site that reads properly in Dutch.

Built to Dutch rules

What changes for a Dutch business

  • AVG (the Dutch GDPR)

A privacy statement, a cookie banner that only loads analytics after consent, a verwerkersovereenkomst with every tool that handles client data, and forms that collect only what is necessary. All four set up as part of the build.

  • Dutch first, English second

For a business serving Dutch customers the site is in Dutch, with English as a second language where you want it, and correct hreflang tags so Google shows each version to the right person. You write or approve the Dutch.

  • Telecommunicatiewet cookies

The Dutch cookie rules are enforced by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, and 'by continuing you accept' banners do not count. Ours asks properly and stays out of the way.

  • KvK details in the footer

Your KvK number and, where applicable, BTW number, as Dutch law expects on a business website.

Our longest-running client is a network of clinics in the Netherlands. We rebuilt their booking flows and back-office tooling; admin time fell from forty hours a week to sixteen, and the platform is still being extended three years on.

Questions

What Dutch businesses ask first

Can the site be in Dutch?

Yes, and for a business serving Dutch customers it should be. We build the site with Dutch as the primary language and English as a second where you want it, with the right hreflang tags so Google shows each version to the right person. You write or approve the Dutch copy; we do not run a page about your business through a translator.

Can clients pay a deposit with iDEAL?

Yes. iDEAL is how Dutch customers expect to pay online, and card-only checkout costs bookings. Deposits and online payments run through Mollie or Stripe with iDEAL enabled, connected to your booking tool.

What do we need for the AVG (GDPR)?

A privacy statement, a cookie banner that only loads analytics after consent, a processing agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) with any tool that handles client data, and forms that collect only what is necessary. We set all four up as part of the build.

Which booking tools do Dutch salons and clinics use?

Salonized is Dutch and the most common salon tool; Treatwell and Fresha are also widespread. Clinics and practices often use Zorgdomein, Crossuite or their practice software's own online booking. Studios: Momoyoga, Eversports, Mindbody. All embed and can be styled to match.
