Four systems, and what all four already do

All four take a booking carrying the address and parking access, hold the dog's size, coat and vaccination status, check the request against the area you cover, and work with travel buffers so the diary treats the drive as part of the day.
That settles the question most groomers arrive with: none of the four will fail to take a mobile booking. What differs is how the rules behave once your own round is loaded in, and no feature page will tell you that.
Why this is not a ranked list
A van doing school-run hours across four villages and a two-van operation covering half a county want different things from the same software, so a ranking would be dishonest. Instead: the questions worth settling on a trial, with your real coverage, prices and slot lengths entered. Each answer changes how the website in front of it gets built.
Does the address gate the calendar?
Both arrangements are common and they are not the same. If the address is collected after the slot, an owner twenty miles outside your round can pick a Tuesday and land in your diary, and you find out when you look at the map. Ask whether the area rule runs before times are offered, and what an out-of-range owner is shown when it does.
Can one appointment hold the drive there and the drive on?
A van carries one dog and has no waiting area to absorb a late start, so a slot that ignores travel does not run ten minutes over — it takes the afternoon with it. On the trial, book two grooms an hour apart at opposite ends of the patch and see whether it lets you sell both.
Does the price follow the dog or the service name?
Owners want the total for their own dog. Check whether size and coat drive the price and the duration together, whether a mixed breed can be priced on coat rather than a name in a list, and whether travel sits inside the figure the owner sees.
What happens a year after the vaccination record?
All four capture the status at the first booking. The question is what happens twelve months later: whether the date is a field the software watches and prompts on, or a note somebody has to remember, and whether the owner is asked before the next appointment rather than on the driveway.
What does the confirmation message say?
The confirmation is where a first-time owner learns what you need from them. Check whether your own wording about parking, water and mains power goes into it, whether it sends by text as well as email, and whether the reminder before the visit repeats it or just gives a time.
Does Book open your site or their listing?
If the system you are trialling comes with a marketplace profile, that profile is a second page competing for your own name. Ask what the embed looks like on your domain, whether a link can open with one service already chosen, and whether an owner who left your site has to search for your business again to finish.
What can it hand back?
Before the round depends on it, find out what an export contains: client list, pet histories, coat and handling notes, past appointments. A business that cannot leave its software ends up with a website shaped around that software's limits.
The website's half of the job
Whichever you pick, the site's task beside it is narrow: answer coverage and price before the widget loads, then hand over a reachable address in one tap. The platform holds the round together. It cannot tell an owner in the next village whether you come to them.
