Riders search by marque, so marques are the site
A rider does not search for a workshop. They search for someone who works on their bike. Triumph. Ducati. A specific model with a known quirk.
That single habit sets the shape of the build and most of its price. A workshop that specialises in two marques needs a small site. One that genuinely covers a dozen needs a page for each, because a page per marque is a search result and a paragraph listing twelve is not.
The usual build: Essentials at $500
Eight pages, live in about a fortnight, two rounds of changes. For a workshop that is:
- A first screen naming the marques you actually specialise in
- Two or three marque pages
- Service prices by engine size or bike type
- Tyre fitting and testing, with prices
- Workshop photos and Google reviews
- Booking, and contact
Publishing service prices by engine size is the change most workshops resist and most benefit from. Riders compare, and a straight number beats "call for a quote" from a rider who is already looking at three tabs.
When the bigger build earns its money
Complete, $1,500, gives twenty pages across roughly four weeks with four rounds of changes. For this trade the extra room goes almost entirely into two things.
The first is marque coverage — a page each, properly written, rather than a shared list. The second is seasonal work, which is where a lot of workshops leave money on the table. Pre-season check pages and winter storage pages, live and bookable before the season rather than during it, are the difference between a rush you cannot staff and a diary that fills on your schedule.
Booking, and what it costs
On a new Complete build the booking setup is included: the system chosen for your size, connected to your diary, capturing the bike details rather than just a name and a time. Adding it to a site that already exists is quoted inside a day and takes about a week.
The software itself is billed to you. Autoflow and Workshop Software suit a workshop running a full garage system; Acuity and Square Appointments suit smaller operations that mainly need a diary and a deposit.
An existing site
Before spending on it, find out whether it is worth the money. Diagnosis is $299 and lands in three days: what is broken, what each fix costs, and a straight answer on repairing versus replacing. Diagnosis and fix is $799 across about two weeks.
Afterwards, monthly
- The domain, renewed yearly and registered to you
- Booking software, paid direct to whichever platform you run
- Hosting
- Optionally a care plan so seasonal pages, price updates and repairs are handled: Basic $99/mo, Growth $249/mo with four hours of changes
What moves the number
- How many marques get their own page
- Whether service pricing is one table or splits by engine size and bike type
- Whether tyre fitting and testing need their own bookable pages
- How many seasonal pages you want live before each season
- Whether one mechanic or several need separate diaries
Where this sits
We build motorcycle workshop websites around marque pages and engine-size pricing at a fixed price. The wider trade view is the automotive page, and the conversion list is why your automotive website is not getting bookings.
